Energy & Cleantech Solutions for Resilience

In September 2025, I participated in Estonian Defence Week, bringing a cleantech and energy-systems perspective to one of Europe’s most forward-looking security and defence gatherings.

As Defence, civil protection, and critical infrastructure become increasingly intertwined, one insight stands out: energy resilience is security resilience. These systems are essential for military readiness and emergency response. They are also crucial for data centers, hospitals, and industrial supply chains. Reliable and decentralized energy systems are now mission-critical.

I draw on decades of experience in Nordic cleantech, industrial energy transition, and ecosystem building. He offered a solutions-oriented view. Clean, distributed, and AI-optimized energy systems can strengthen resilience. These systems help both defense and society alike.
