I really enjoyed this year's theme for Latitude59 in Tallinn. It is the premier startup and tech event in the world's first digital society. The theme was "Be Bold and Build the World You Want." Thank you so much to the fabulous team, Tallinn, and partners.

Latitude59 in Tallinn is the flagship startup and tech event of the world’s first digital society. It was my first time, but not the last. I do recommend a visit.
Interview with Ragmar Saksing, Tehnopol.
Here are the key takeaways:
Diversity and Inclusivity: The event emphasized diversity, with over 40% of speakers identifying as women and a particular focus on promoting female leadership in startups. This was highlighted by the presentation of Estonia's "Manifesto for Allyship," which addressed biases and promoted gender equity in leadership roles.
Global Impact and Networking: The conference brought together over 3,500 participants from 63 countries, fostering international collaboration. Delegations from regions such as Kenya and India highlighted the event's global reach, emphasizing its role as a "global village" for tech and innovation.
Startup and Investment Highlights: The €1 million pitch competition, supported by EstBAN and Specialist VC, was a key feature. Ukrainian startup Beholder, Lithuanian company AskToSell, and Estonian innovator GaltTec emerged as winners. This competition underscores Latitude59’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent.
Focus on Social and Global Issues: The conference explored how tech can address global crises, reinforcing the tech community's responsibility to create impactful solutions. It also supported social causes, such as fundraising for Ukraine through its NAFO initiative.
Future-Oriented Vision: Topics included advancements in deep tech, defense tech, and digital solutions, aligning with Estonia's reputation as a global tech leader. Participants were encouraged to envision and build a future leveraging Estonia's innovative ecosystem.
Latitude59 solidifies Estonia's position as a global tech hub while addressing critical issues of diversity, equity, and sustainability. The next edition is planned for May 2025. For more details, visit the official event site.
