CleanTech Region Group and Calejo AI Hybrid Intelligence met in Rome, Italy, to discuss collaboration around Calejo’s expanding Smart Water initiatives and the opening of its Italian office. The meeting explored how AI-driven solutions can help cities and utilities optimize water systems, prevent flooding, and improve infrastructure efficiency.

The meeting aimed to accelerate AI solutions for water systems and services across Europe. It merged Nordic innovation with Italy's growing water technology sector.
Calejo Hybrid Intelligence has strengthened its presence in Italy through its subsidiary Calejo Smart Water S.r.l.
The company is bringing together leading experts and partners. Their goal is to scale advanced solutions that optimize water and wastewater systems using AI and hybrid intelligence.
The platform aims to help cities prevent flooding, reduce wastewater overflows, and improve efficiency in aging water infrastructure.
“Water is becoming one of the defining infrastructure challenges of our time. We can accelerate the deployment of Smart Water solutions across cities. We can also do this across various industries. Calejo’s Hybrid Intelligence, merged with CleanTech Region Group’s international ecosystem, makes this achievable, says Lars Ling, CEO of CleanTech Region Group.
The next steps include developing collaborative pilot projects with municipalities. We will also expand global outreach through the upcoming CleanTech Region and Nordic Impact Week Silicon Valley initiatives. More on that shortly.
